About Steven Pelland
Steven Pelland is a Boston based guitarist and songwriter who has carefully honed his songwriting skills to accompany his strong baritone vocal range and expressive finger-style guitar playing.Growing up in Fall River, MA he explored the tidal marshes of the Mount Hope Bay and experienced the changes in the once thriving city as the textile industry closed down. His lyrics reflect the images of his surroundings in Fall River as well as his time living in North Carolina and Concord, MA.
Steven released his new recording These Days in the Spring of 2016. He attended NERFA and SERFA (Folk Alliance Regional Conferences) last year and also performed at the New Bedford Folk Festival, The Huntington Folk Festival and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival . Steven is embarking on a tour of the Southeast US in the Spring of 2017.
These Days also made the Top Ten list for 2016 on WPKN Radio For Bruce Swan’s show, “Music My Mother Would Not Like.”
