About The Event
The Far Out is a funk and soul pop band from Boston. The six powerhouse musicians have been playing together since they were kids -- learning and growing through shared experiences in jazz, theater, a cappella and orchestra. Now they engage their audiences with high-energy grooves, lush vocals, and funky horn lines, supported by an undeniable chemistry.
Since their formation in summer '21, TFO has quickly become a notable part of the Great Boston music community. In 2025, they secured awared for Live Act of the Year and Video of the Year (for "Laurel") at the New England Music Awards. Their debut album, Greeting from the Far Out, was nominationd for Album of the Year at bothe the NEMA's and Boston Music Awards.
